Comparing OKR tools

Built for the operator. Not the HR department.

OKRs Tool is the focused choice for VPs and department heads at 50–200 person companies who need OKRs that survive cycle two. Here's how we compare to the alternatives — where we win, where we lose, and who shouldn't pick us.

In one minute

What makes OKRs Tool different.

If you only have a minute to compare, here's the short version. The detailed competitor breakdowns are below.

Built for
50–200 person operators
VPs, CTOs, Heads of Department. Not for HR teams running performance reviews. Not for 1,000-person enterprises. Not for solopreneurs.
Pricing model
Flat monthly fees
$0 for 1–5 users, $49/mo for 6–50, $129/mo for 51+ unlimited. No per-user pricing. Costs don't grow when you hire.
Setup time
An afternoon, not weeks
No procurement, no IT review, no consultant. Senior operator sets it up; team runs it from day one.
Strongest commitment
60% adoption guarantee
If your team doesn't reach 60% adoption in 30 days, you get a full refund. No forms, no disputes. No other OKR vendor offers this.
What we don't do
Heavy customization
No bespoke workflows (Workboard covers that). No independent SOC 2 audit (we run on SOC 2 infra). English UI only.

OKRs Tool vs. the OKR-software market.

Five tools come up most often when 50–200 person teams evaluate us. Here's how we compare on the dimensions that actually matter for execution.

OKRs Tool vs. Profit.co

Profit.co is feature-rich and aimed at larger orgs with formal OKR programs. For growing teams, that depth becomes overhead — long onboarding, dense UI, per-user pricing.

  • Feature depth: massive (Profit.co) vs. focused on execution essentials (us)
  • Onboarding: weeks-long enterprise-style vs. an afternoon
  • Pricing: per-user vs. flat-fee

OKRs Tool vs. Lattice

Lattice is an HR platform with OKRs as one module among many — reviews, comp, surveys, engagement. Strong if HR owns goals. We're purpose-built when operators own goals.

  • Built for: HR teams (Lattice) vs. operators (us)
  • OKR depth: module within a suite vs. the entire product
  • Pricing: per-user bundles vs. flat-fee

OKRs Tool vs. Betterworks

Betterworks is a credible enterprise choice with deep performance management integration. The setup cost is real — multi-week implementation, custom quotes, contract minimums.

  • Best for: 500+ employees (Betterworks) vs. 50–200 (us)
  • Time-to-value: weeks of rollout vs. an afternoon
  • Pricing: custom enterprise quotes vs. transparent flat-fee

OKRs Tool vs. Perdoo

Perdoo is solid for OKR governance and strategy maps, but tends to be heavier than growing teams need. OKRs Tool is lighter, faster to set up, and built for execution rather than reporting.

  • Weight: governance suite + strategy maps (Perdoo) vs. execution-first (us)
  • Setup: 2–4 weeks vs. an afternoon
  • Best for: 200+ orgs (Perdoo) vs. 50–200 (us)

OKRs Tool vs. Mooncamp

Mooncamp is one of the most modern OKR tools, with strong customization and a clean UI. Per-user pricing means costs scale with team size — our flat fee stays the same as you hire.

  • UX: both modern and clean
  • Pricing: per-user vs. flat-fee
  • Adoption guarantee: none vs. 60% in 30 days or money back

Not just OKR vendors.

Most teams aren't only comparing OKR tools — they're choosing between an OKR tool, a spreadsheet, an HR platform, or a project management tool. Here's how those stack up.

vs. Spreadsheets

Excel, Google Sheets, Notion docs

Spreadsheets work for small teams (5–10 people). Past 20 people, you lose ownership, nudges, and cross-team visibility. OKRs die after cycle one.

See the spreadsheet trade-off
vs. Full HR platforms

Lattice, Leapsome, 15Five

Built around HR — performance reviews, compensation bands, headcount planning, surveys, learning. OKRs are usually one module. We do performance reviews and 1:1s too, but OKRs are the entire product, not a side feature.

See Expand vs. enterprise HR
vs. Project tools

Asana, Jira, ClickUp

Great for tasks. Not built for OKR roll-ups, weekly check-ins, or alignment views. Most teams that try this end up with brittle workarounds in dashboards.

Honestly: when not to choose OKRs Tool.

Most software vendors won't tell you this. We'd rather you pick the right tool the first time — even if it's not us.

  • If you need a full HR platform — payroll, compensation bands, headcount planning, learning, deep engagement surveys. Lattice and Leapsome are broader than us. We do OKRs, performance reviews, and 1:1s — not the rest of HR.
  • If your company is 1,000+ employees with formal procurement. Workboard, Betterworks, and Quantive are built for that scale. We're built for 50–200 person teams that move faster.
  • If you require an independent SOC 2 Type II audit certificate for OKRs Tool itself. We don't have one and we're not pursuing one in 2026. Our platform runs on SOC 2 Type II-certified infrastructure (Cloudflare, AWS, Supabase, Resend), so the underlying stack is audited — but OKRs Tool as a product is not.
  • If you need the product in a language other than English. We're English only today. If you need Spanish, Portuguese, or another language this quarter, we're not your fit.
  • If you're a solopreneur or a 5-person startup. A spreadsheet works. Save the SaaS budget for a problem that scales with you.
